The composition reads like a sweeping panoramic landscape painting, bold and immediately arresting in its clarity and depth.
A broad band of deep brick red and rich burgundy dominates the upper third of the disc, its surface smooth and lustrous with fine concentric banding visible within. Below this, a wide sweep of pale cream and soft white creates a horizon line of luminous contrast, scattered with fine black dendritic inclusions and crossed by bold dark veining that runs horizontally across the composition like the bare branches of winter trees against a pale sky.
The lower half of the disc descends into a rich, complex terrain of deep charcoal, warm brown and earthy ochre, where dense dendritic formations, swirling cloud-like masses and sweeping dark bands create a landscape of extraordinary depth and detail. Fine white highlights run through this lower section like distant snowfields or moonlit water, and a sinuous line of deep red curves through the very base of the composition, drawing the eye across the full width of the piece.
