A beautifully striking polished calcite disc presenting one of the most dramatic and naturally composed landscape formations found in this mineral. Across both fully polished faces, sweeping horizontal bands of crisp white, deep charcoal and warm sandy beige alternate in flowing, wave-like formations that evoke aerial views of layered coastal cliffs, rolling dunes or the striated geology of ancient rock formations carved by time and water.
The banding on this disc is exceptionally well defined and richly textured, each white zone carrying a finely granular, almost frosted quality that contrasts beautifully with the smoother, denser charcoal bands between them. The boundary between each layer is organically irregular, the edges rippling and curving in a way that gives the whole composition a sense of movement and flow. Warm sandy beige and soft ochre tones appear between the starker white and dark zones, adding depth and warmth to what is otherwise a cool, graphic palette.
Both faces are virtually identical in composition, making this disc equally striking from either side. The clean circular form and straight polished edge give it a refined, gallery-ready quality that would suit both a contemporary and a natural interior setting.
